**Concept:**

Fundamental RMS output voltage \( = \frac{{4{V_{dc}}}}{{\left( {\sqrt 2 } \right)n}}\sin \left( {n\frac{\pi }{2}} \right)\sin \left( {nd} \right)\)

n = 1 For fundamental

\(n = 1\sin \left( {\frac{\pi }{2}} \right) = 1\)

\({V_{01}} = \frac{{2\sqrt 2 }}{\pi }{V_{dc}}\sin \left( {\frac{\pi }{2}} \right)\sin d\)

**Calculation:**

Supply voltage (V_{dc}) = 220 V

Pulse width (2d) = 120°

⇒ d = 60°

Fundamental RMS output voltage \( = \frac{{2\sqrt 2 }}{\pi } \times 220 \times \sin 60\)

= 171.5 V
